San Francisco surroundings
California is the third biggest state of America, after Texas and Alaska. It is bordered on the North by Oregon, on the East by Nevada, on the Southwest by Arizona and on the South by Mexico. California is part of the so-called Sun Belt, a dynamic and prosperous region that stretches across the South and Southwest of the United States. The state is generally divided into Northern and Southern California, although the boundary between the two is more cultural than geographical, San Francisco being a Northern City and Los Angeles a Southern one.
